Lifeguards

Our Lifeguards are certified
Our lifeguards are certified in Bronze Medallion awarded by Singapore Lifesaving Society as well as the National Pool and Waterpark Lifeguard Licensed under Jeff Ellis & Associates in the US.

10/20 PROTECTION RULE
The Ellis & Associates Training Program is based on the 10/20 Protection Rule. Studies have shown that if you can manage a guest in distress within the first 30 seconds, you can minimize the danger in a hazardous situation and possibly prevent a guest from drowning.

What is 10/20?
The lifeguard has 10 seconds to recognize that a guest is in distress. The lifeguard then has 20 seconds to reach the guest and render aid such as CPR and/or defibrillation through a defibrillator.
Scanning in designated zones
Each lifeguard station or position is assigned in a specific area of responsibility or zone. As the lifeguard watches his/her designated zone, lifeguard’s head and eyes move in regular patterns known as scanning.
